Learning Through Play: Where Imagination Blooms. Book a nursery tour
Nothing else we do matters if a child is not safe. Health, safety and security sit underneath every routine at Little Regent, from the way the front gate is manned to the way a classroom floor is padded. We are licensed and approved by the UAE Ministry of Social Affairs and the Ministry of Education, and we hold a 100% safety record.
Parents are welcome to ask us about any of the measures below, and to see them in place during a visit. Our full policies and procedures are kept in hard copy at reception for any parent who would like to read them.
CCTV cameras run around the clock, indoors and outdoors. Entry to the nursery is controlled, and every visitor is signed in and asked for identification before going any further than reception. The outdoor play area is gated and manned whenever children are using it, and children are released only to a parent or a named, authorised adult whose identity we verify at collection.
Indoor floors are laid with padded, anti-skid rubberised surfaces so that inevitable tumbles are soft ones. Furniture is child-proofed and corners are padded. We operate a no-footwear policy inside classrooms, which keeps the floors that babies crawl and play on genuinely clean, and every room is sanitised daily.
Our fire safety arrangements comply with civil defence requirements, and we run regular mock drills so that staff and children alike know exactly what to do. Educators are trained in first aid and fire procedures as a condition of working with us.
Little Regent has its own clinic staffed by a full-time registered nurse, with a doctor on call. Through our Wee-Care programme with Oasis Hospital, children receive monthly checkups and parents are invited to wellness workshops. Daily records of sleeping, eating and toileting are kept for every child and shared with you.
If a child becomes unwell, our nurse calls you straight away and the child rests in the clinic until you arrive. To protect everyone, we ask that children stay home for 48 hours after starting a course of antibiotics, or after vomiting or diarrhoea. We can only administer doctor-prescribed medication, in its original packaging, with your written authorisation.
Our written policies and procedures cover the areas below. Hard copies are available in the reception area, or call +971 3 766 5414 and we will talk you through any of them.
Read more on our policies and procedures page, or see how the building itself is set up on our facilities page.
