Little Regent Team
Little Regent follows the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), the framework trusted by nurseries across the UK. It rests on a belief we hold dearly: every child learns best through play. Play is how young children build language, work through emotions, stretch their creativity and grow socially and intellectually, so at Little Regent, play is the learning, not a break from it.
Every child is treated as an individual. We evaluate each child on their own terms, and children progress at their own pace, led by their own interests and abilities. A water tray becomes an early lesson in volume and cause and effect. A shared story becomes vocabulary, listening and empathy. A block tower becomes counting, balance and the patience to start again.
The EYFS starts with three prime areas, the foundations every young child needs. Communication and Language develops listening and attention, understanding, and speaking. Physical Development covers moving and handling along with health and self-care. Personal, Social and Emotional Development helps children build relationships, grow in self-confidence and self-awareness, and learn to manage their feelings and behaviour.
As children grow, four specific areas build on those foundations. Together they give our educators seven lenses for planning and observing, from Waddle Ducks right through to Elegant Eagles:
We do not test small children. Our educators observe how each child plays, note what they can already do, and plan the next step from there. Those observations build into a record that is shared with you, so the picture you get of your child is a real one rather than a report card.

A British framework still has to work here in Al Ain, and ours does. Little Regent is licensed and approved by the UAE Ministry of Social Affairs and the Ministry of Education, and we are a member of the National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA). Our routines, activities and outcomes meet local requirements for health, safety and well-being while staying true to the EYFS, so you get an English-language nursery with real early-years rigour behind the play.
