A Building Built Around Small People

Little Regent occupies a bright, airy multi-storey villa in Tawam, Asharej, directly opposite Al Ain American School. Extensive windows fill the rooms with daylight, and everything inside is sized, padded and arranged for children rather than adults.

Floors are laid with padded, anti-skid rubberised surfaces. We ask everyone to leave footwear at the classroom door, and rooms are sanitised daily, simple habits that make a real difference when babies spend their day at floor level.

The Kiddie Gym

Our indoor kiddie gym is where big movement happens whatever the weather outside. Children work with balls, beanbags and hula-hoops, clamber over soft climbing shapes, roll and stretch on activity mats, and wobble their way along balance beams, building strength, coordination and confidence as they go.

Home Corner and Class Libraries

Every classroom has a home corner for pretend play, where cooking a meal or putting a doll to bed becomes practice in language, sequencing and social give-and-take. Each classroom also has its own well-resourced library, so a book is always within a child’s reach rather than down a corridor.

Outdoor Play

Outside there are sand and water play zones, slides, bikes and ride-ons, a gardening patch, and gross-motor equipment to climb and clamber over. The whole area is gated, and manned by educators whenever children are using it.

The Clinic

Our HAAD-approved paediatric clinic is staffed by a full-time registered nurse, with a doctor on call, and runs the Wee-Care programme with Oasis Hospital, monthly checkups for the children and wellness workshops for parents. Daily records of sleeping, eating and toileting are kept for every child.

Safe Throughout

CCTV runs round the clock indoors and outdoors, access is controlled and visitors are ID checked, and our fire safety arrangements comply with civil defence requirements, backed by regular mock drills. There is more detail on our health and safety page.
