Busy Bees: our baby room
Our Busy Bees class · 45 days – 1 year
Busy Bees is the youngest room at Little Regent, welcoming babies from 45 days old. It is a calm, cosy space where tiny children are held, talked to, sung to and adored, and where their earliest learning quietly begins.

What learning looks like at this age
At this age learning is sensory. Babies take in the world through touch, sound, light and movement, and through the warmth of the people caring for them. Under the EYFS framework our focus is the three prime areas:
- Communication & Language: songs, rhymes and gentle chatter, so your baby hears warm language all day long.
- Physical Development: tummy time, reaching, grasping and stretching on soft, padded flooring.
- Personal, Social & Emotional Development: secure bonds with familiar carers, the foundation everything else is built on.
Treasure baskets, high-contrast books, textured toys and soothing music give little hands and eyes plenty to explore, always at your baby’s own pace.
A gentle daily rhythm
The nursery opens at 6:45 AM, but in Busy Bees the routine belongs to your baby, not the clock. Feeds, naps and cuddles follow the pattern you set at home, woven around short bursts of sensory play, fresh air and one-to-one time. We keep daily records of sleeping, feeding and changing, so you know exactly how the day went.
We are open Monday to Friday, twelve months a year. The nursery opens at 6:45 AM, and on Fridays pick-up is by 12:30 PM, with later pick-up available if you need it.
Small class, familiar faces
Classes are deliberately small. Every child has a key person who knows their routine and their family, a daily diary goes home, a full-time registered nurse is on site, and the building has CCTV and controlled access.
What comes next
Around their first birthday, babies move up to Tiny Tots, where walking, first words and bolder exploring take over.
